A 30-degree spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Licensed machinists, toolroom operators, and CNC programmers commonly specify this tool for tight-tolerance work.
