The OSG 5313100 is a cobalt square end mill designed for general-purpose milling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It features a 0.75-inch cutting diameter with a 1.625-inch length of cut, a 0.75-inch shank diameter, and an overall length of 3.875 inches. Constructed from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers improved heat and wear resistance compared to standard HSS tooling. The three-flute geometry and 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This end mill ships uncoated and is suited for shops running conventional milling operations where cobalt-grade tooling is specified.

This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal milling machine setups for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. The regular-length configuration and centercutting design allow both plunge and side-milling entries. It is appropriate for production and maintenance machining environments where a reliable cobalt end mill is preferred over carbide for interrupted cuts or tougher setups. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute are standard for conventional and climb milling on most CNC and manual mills.
