The OSG 5271100 is a cobalt square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in ferrous and high-temperature alloy materials. Built to M42 cobalt high-speed steel specification, it delivers improved heat and wear resistance compared to standard HSS tooling. The cutter features a 2-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle, a 0.5-inch cutting diameter, and a 1-inch length of cut. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Licensed machinists and toolroom operators use this end mill in vertical and horizontal milling machines as well as machining centers.

The OSG 5271100 is suited for slotting, peripheral milling, and plunge cutting in both manual and CNC applications.
