Measuring 7/16 inches in diameter with a 3-inch length of cut and 6-inch overall length, this tool falls into the extra-long category, giving machinists extended reach for deep-pocket and side-wall milling. The 2-flute configuration and 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation, while the micrograin carbide substrate delivers wear resistance and edge retention across a range of workpiece materials. This end mill is suited for ferrous and non-ferrous milling operations requiring extended reach. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, making it practical for slot milling, pocket roughing, and profile work. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and degrades surface finish.
