The OSG 48106533 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal and finishing in demanding machining applications. It features a 12 mm cutting diameter, a 3 mm corner radius, and five flutes with a right-hand spiral and medium helix for balanced cutting action. The WXS physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating enhances wear resistance and heat dissipation, extending tool life across a broad range of workpiece materials. With an overall length of 110 mm and a 5 mm length of cut, this end mill is built for precision profiling, slotting, and contouring where corner integrity is critical. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material groups P, M, K, S, and H. The extended reach design, with a 24 mm reach length and 11 mm neck diameter, allows access to deeper pockets and stepped features without sacrificing rigidity. It is intended for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders and supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single setup. The single-end configuration and normal pitch make it a straightforward drop-in for CNC machining centers running aggressive or finishing tool paths.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO groups P, M, K, S, H). Series 4572.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Confirm the h6 shank tolerance is compatible with your collet or toolholder bore specification before clamping. Follow your facility's standard torque procedures for the toolholder type in use; do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's clamping specifications.
