The OSG 464-500011 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 0.5 inch cutting diameter, a 2 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length with a 0.5 inch shank diameter. The tool carries a TiAlN finish that improves heat resistance and tool life in high-speed cutting conditions. With 4 spiral flutes ground at a 30-degree helix angle and a micrograin carbide substrate, this end mill delivers consistent chip evacuation and surface finish. It is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into the workpiece. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry make it compatible with standard CNC and manual milling machine spindles.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum alloys. The long-length configuration provides additional reach for deeper pockets, slots, and profiling passes. It is used in job shops, production machining environments, and toolrooms where consistent dimensional accuracy is required.
