The OSG 457103011 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding material applications. Built to Series 4571 specifications, it features a 3 mm cutting diameter, a 0.2 mm corner radius, and four right-hand helical flutes with a 45-degree high helix angle. The WXS PVD coating provides enhanced wear resistance and thermal stability. With an overall length of 60 mm and a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank, this end mill suits both roughing and finishing operations. It is center-cutting and features extended reach geometry, making it suitable for profiling, slotting, and contour milling in tight-tolerance applications. Micrograin carbide construction supports precision work across a broad range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is engineered for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H. The extended reach design with a 9 mm reach length and a reduced 2.85 mm neck diameter allows access to deeper features without sacrificing rigidity. It is intended for use in toolholder setups on CNC machining centers and milling machines in precision manufacturing, toolmaking, aerospace, and general metalworking environments. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary installers and end users of this tooling.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H. Part of the OSG Series 4571 extended-reach corner radius end mill family.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom personnel. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is disabled before loading or unloading tooling. Seat the shank fully in the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts, particularly given the reduced neck diameter on this extended-reach design.
