The OSG 457009011 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 9 mm (0.3543 inches) cutting diameter with a 2 mm corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the tool-workpiece interface and extends tool life in profiling and finishing passes. The 4 mm length of cut (0.1575 inches) is suited for shallow-depth milling operations where rigidity and accuracy are critical. Built from micrograin carbide and finished with a WXS coating, this single-end, center-cutting tool delivers consistent performance in demanding materials. It is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in precision manufacturing environments.
This end mill is appropriate for milling operations on machining centers and CNC mills in both production and job-shop settings. The straight cylindrical 8 mm shank provides reliable tool-holder engagement in standard collets and milling chucks. Its right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with conventional CNC spindle setups. The Series 4570 designation identifies it within the OSG product family for easy reordering and cross-referencing. It is typically used in light-to-moderate material removal, profiling, contouring, and finish-pass operations where corner integrity is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit corner radius end mill for CNC machining centers and vertical milling machines accepting an 8 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully within the collet or milling chuck to the recommended engagement depth before tightening. Verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before running. Inspect the tool holder for runout and cleanliness prior to each setup to protect the cutting edge and maintain dimensional accuracy.
