The OSG 447100311 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. It features a 0.0938-inch mill diameter, a 0.01-inch corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes with a high helix angle for efficient chip evacuation. The cutting edge is finished with a WXS PVD coating, which extends tool life when working in abrasive and hard materials. At 2.25 inches overall length with a 3/32-inch length of cut, this single-end, centercutting tool is built for both roughing and finishing passes. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers specify this mill for close-tolerance work in ferrous and exotic alloys.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its extended-reach geometry and reduced neck diameter of 0.089 inches allow access to deeper pockets and stepped features without sacrificing rigidity at the shank. The straight cylindrical 1/8-inch shank seats directly into standard toolholders, making it a practical choice for CNC machining centers running Series 4471 tooling or equivalent setups where corner radius edge protection is required to maintain part geometry.

Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tool-and-die professionals. Seat the straight cylindrical shank fully in a clean, compatible toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut. Do not exceed the recommended length-of-cut depth for this tool, and ensure coolant strategy is appropriate since this tool does not support through-coolant.
