The OSG 414-1094 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of metals and engineered materials in machine shop and production environments. Built to Series 414 specifications, it features a 7/64 inch (0.1094 inch) mill diameter with a 7/32 inch (0.2188 inch) length of cut and a 1/8 inch shank diameter for use in standard collet chucks and tool holders. The micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance work at small diameters. Four spiral flutes at a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this tool in vertical and horizontal machining centers as well as manual knee mills.
The 414-1094 is suited for slotting, profiling, and light pocket milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a small-diameter, stub-length tool is required. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional and climb milling setups. Its 1-1/2 inch overall length keeps deflection low when working in shallow features. The uncoated finish makes it a straightforward choice when cutting fluid or mist coolant is used, and it can be resharpened when edges dull.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, manual mills, and rotary tool setups accepting a 1/8 inch straight shank. Fits standard ER collets and precision end mill holders sized for 1/8 inch shanks.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully within the collet or tool holder to the recommended gauge line depth before torquing the retention mechanism. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the 7/64 inch diameter and workpiece material before engaging the cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, as small-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to impact from incorrect feeds or interrupted cuts.
