The OSG 4110000311 is a solid carbide helical flute thread mill designed for cutting M8x1.25 metric internal threads in a single helical pass. With a 6.00 mm shank diameter and a 6.00 mm cutting diameter, the tool operates in tight-bore environments where rigid setup and accurate helical interpolation are essential. The 13.80 mm length of cut accommodates standard thread depth requirements for M8 fastener applications. An EXO coating provides thermal and wear resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in metalworking, production machining, or toolroom environments.
The 4110000311 is suited for CNC machining centers capable of helical interpolation. It targets applications requiring metric M8x1.25 threads in materials where solid carbide tooling is specified for accuracy and rigidity. The right-hand flute direction and 3-flute geometry support consistent chip evacuation during the threading cycle. At 65.00 mm overall length, the tool fits standard toolholders used in vertical and horizontal machining centers. No coolant-through capability is present, so external coolant or cutting fluid application is recommended when threading heat-sensitive or difficult-to-machine materials.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with helical interpolation capability; compatible with standard toolholders accepting a 6.00 mm shank diameter. Suited for metric M8x1.25 thread milling in production and toolroom applications.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators familiar with thread milling cycles and helical interpolation programming. Ensure the toolholder is clean and the shank is fully seated and torqued to the toolholder manufacturer specification before running. Verify spindle speed and feed rate against the workpiece material and tool manufacturer recommendations before engaging the cut. Because this tool has no internal coolant-through capability, direct external coolant or cutting fluid at the cutting zone to manage heat and chip removal.
