The OSG 404-8750-BN11 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for both roughing and finishing operations on a wide range of workpiece materials. It features a 0.875-inch cutting diameter, a 1.5-inch length of cut, and four helical flutes with a 30-degree helix angle. The tool is finished with a TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) PVD coating, which improves heat resistance and extends tool life in demanding cutting conditions. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 0.875 inches in diameter and the overall length is 4 inches. This is a single-end, right-hand cutting tool from OSG Series 404BN, suited for CNC machining centers and milling applications requiring consistent tolerancing and reliable performance across production runs.
This end mill is rated for use across a broad range of secondary workpiece materials, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is well suited for general-purpose milling, contour work, and 3D profiling where a ball nose geometry is required. The TiAlN coating makes it particularly effective in elevated-temperature cutting environments common in ferrous and hard-material machining.
