The OSG 403-7500 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.750-inch mill diameter, a 1.5-inch length of cut, and a 4.0-inch overall length, this tool delivers consistent performance in slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. The 3-flute configuration paired with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it maintains edge integrity under demanding cutting conditions. This end mill ships uncoated and is intended for use by machinists and toolroom professionals working on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
The 403-7500 is suited for general-purpose milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a right-hand cut, right-hand flute, centercutting tool is required. Its regular-length profile fits standard toolholding systems with a 0.750-inch shank. The spiral flute geometry and micrograin carbide substrate make it appropriate for finishing and semi-finishing passes in production and job-shop environments. It is not an extended-reach tool and does not feature a chipbreaker or variable helix, keeping setup and programming straightforward for standard milling cycles.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with toolholders accepting a 0.750-inch diameter straight shank. Part of the OSG Series 403 solid carbide end mill family.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is properly seated and torqued in the collet or end mill holder before operation. Confirm runout is within acceptable tolerance before beginning a cut. Follow applicable shop safety protocols and machine manufacturer guidelines when setting tool length offsets and feed-and-speed parameters.
