It features a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) mill diameter with a TiAlN PVD coating that extends tool life under elevated cutting temperatures. The three-flute, right-hand spiral configuration supports both roughing and finishing operations. With a 30-degree medium helix angle and a nose radius of 0.0313 inches, this tool delivers clean ball-profile cuts at miniature scales where rigidity and tolerance consistency are critical.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and milling applications where small-diameter, tight-tolerance work is required. The 403BN series is positioned as an economical solid carbide option built to OSG quality standards, making it appropriate for production shops managing tooling budgets without sacrificing dimensional consistency. Its straight-cylindrical shank accepts standard collet and end mill holders sized for a 1/8 inch shank. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder, ensuring runout is minimized before cutting, as deflection is amplified at 1/16 inch diameters.
