The OSG 402-1094 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metal, composites, and engineered plastics. It features a 7/64 inch (0.1094 inch) cutting diameter, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 1/8 inch shank diameter, with an overall length of 1-1/2 inches. The 30-degree right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Manufactured from micrograin solid carbide and left uncoated, this tool is suited for high-speed finishing and light-to-medium roughing passes where dimensional accuracy is critical. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills for slotting, profiling, and pocket milling operations. Its compact 7/64 inch diameter makes it appropriate for fine detail work, narrow slot cutting, and contour milling on small or intricate workpieces. The regular-length geometry and 2-flute configuration provide good chip clearance in softer metals and non-ferrous alloys. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators working with aluminum, brass, plastics, and similar materials will find this tool well suited for tight-tolerance applications where a small-diameter tool path is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling option within the OSG Series 402 end mill family for use in 1/8 inch collets or end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Secure the 1/8 inch shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder, ensuring full engagement depth and correct runout before operation. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Follow shop-standard feeds, speeds, and depth-of-cut guidelines appropriate for the workpiece material and machine rigidity when using small-diameter carbide tooling.
