The OSG 36702611 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling of steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It features a 1/2 inch mill diameter, 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.02 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding applications. The micrograin carbide substrate paired with a PVD-applied WXL coating delivers heat and wear resistance across both roughing and finishing operations. This is a single-end, centercutting tool with a right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction, suitable for full-slot and peripheral milling on CNC machining centers.
The OSG 36702611 fits into production and job shop environments where versatility across multiple workpiece materials is required. With a 3 inch overall length and a 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank, it mounts directly into standard toolholders on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The medium helix, normal pitch, and helical flute geometry make it well suited for both roughing passes and finish contouring on ferrous and non-ferrous parts. It is rated for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering a wide range of production scenarios.
Designed for use with standard CNC toolholders accepting a 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as specified by OSG for Series 3670.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before inserting or removing end mills from the toolholder. Verify toolholder bore cleanliness and proper pull-stud torque per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before running. Confirm runout at the cutting diameter does not exceed acceptable limits for the application before beginning the machining cycle.
