The OSG 36702411 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built to Series 3670 specifications, it features a 7/16-inch diameter with a 0.02-inch corner radius that blends floors and walls while reducing edge chipping and stress concentration. The 4-flute, single-end geometry with a medium helix supports both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. WXL PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life across a broad range of workpiece materials. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments rely on this end mill for tight-tolerance profiling and pocketing work.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, making it practical for ramping, helical interpolation, and full-slot operations. The straight-cylindrical shank mounts directly into standard collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, or hydraulic toolholders. It is appropriate for use on CNC machining centers and high-speed milling machines where rigidity and runout control are maintained.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 7/16-inch straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is in a safe state before mounting or removing the tool. Verify toolholder runout is within acceptable limits before cutting, as excessive runout accelerates corner radius wear and reduces surface finish quality. Confirm cutting parameters — speeds, feeds, and depth of cut — are appropriate for the workpiece material and machine rigidity before beginning a cut.
