The OSG 36700111 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding material applications. It features a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) cutting diameter with a 0.01 inch corner radius, 3/16 inch length of cut, and a 4-flute, single-end configuration. The tool is coated with OSG WXL finish applied via PVD process, which improves wear resistance and heat dissipation during high-speed cutting. With a 30-degree medium helix and centercutting capability, it supports both plunge entry and lateral passes. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this end mill in standard toolholders on CNC mills and machining centers.
This end mill is suited for finish and roughing operations across a wide range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its micrograin carbide substrate handles the elevated cutting forces and temperatures common in these applications. The 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet and toolholder systems, making it a practical choice for production shops, mold and die work, and precision component machining where tight corner geometry control is required.
Designed for use with standard collet-style toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for CNC milling applications in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per OSG Series 3670 application guidelines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. The tool must be seated fully and evenly in a clean, properly sized collet or toolholder to the manufacturer-specified engagement depth before tightening. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits prior to cutting, as excess runout will accelerate edge wear on small-diameter end mills. Always confirm machine is at a full stop and spindle lock is engaged before changing tooling.
