The OSG 36040111 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built to Series 3604 specifications, it features a 1/16 inch cutting diameter, a 3/16 inch length of cut, and a 4-flute spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle. The micrograin carbide construction provides edge retention and dimensional stability in demanding cuts. The WXL finish enhances wear resistance and reduces heat buildup at the cutting edge. At 1-1/2 inches overall length with a 1/8 inch shank, this tool fits standard collet chucks and is suited for fine-detail work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, making it effective for cavity work and pocket milling. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional and climb milling setups. Its small diameter and regular-length profile make it well suited for finishing passes, tight-tolerance slots, and detail work where larger tooling cannot reach.
