The OSG 3182650 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining applications. It features a 0.1969-inch cutting diameter, a 0.7874-inch length of cut, and a 0.2362-inch shank diameter, making it well suited for small-feature milling where tight tolerances are required. The two-flute configuration paired with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An OSG WXL coating provides enhanced wear resistance and extended tool life. Micrograin carbide construction delivers consistent edge integrity across a range of workpiece materials. This end mill is a single-end, centercutting tool and is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling technicians.
The OSG 3182650 is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines for slotting, profiling, and plunge-cutting operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Its compact diameter makes it appropriate for fine-detail work, cavity milling, and finishing passes on close-tolerance features. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction conform to standard spindle configurations found in most vertical and horizontal machining centers. Series 3723 designates OSG product family classification for this geometry and coating combination.
Designed as a standard shank solid carbide end mill compatible with tool holders accepting a 0.2362-inch shank diameter, including ER collet chucks and precision milling holders on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. The shank should be inserted to the full recommended grip depth within the collet or tool holder to prevent pullout under load. Verify runout with a dial indicator after mounting before beginning a cut.
