The OSG 3182625 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.0984-inch (2.5 mm) cutting diameter and a 0.3937-inch (10 mm) length of cut, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in small-scale or tight-tolerance work. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Applied WXL coating improves wear resistance and extends tool life in harder workpiece materials. Micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity and edge retention needed for consistent performance in production environments. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill suits CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter tooling is required. The 0.1575-inch (4 mm) shank diameter fits standard ER collets and tool holders commonly found in precision machining setups. The 2-flute geometry makes it well suited for cutting softer metals and materials where chip clearance is a priority. At 45 mm overall length, the tool fits compact tooling setups without sacrificing reach. It is a single-end design with right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction, following conventional milling standards. Series 3723 from OSG is intended for general-purpose solid carbide end milling work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.1575-inch (4 mm) shank via ER collet or equivalent tool holder. Part of OSG Series 3723.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the collet or tool holder. Verify collet size matches the 4 mm shank diameter before tightening to avoid runout. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
