The OSG 3135020 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 0.1575 inch cutting diameter and a 0.2362 inch length of cut, making it well suited for slotting, profiling, and finishing passes in tight geometries. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. A 30-degree helix angle and right-hand cut geometry promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finish. The WXL coating adds thermal and abrasion resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. This end mill is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for light to medium milling work in both production and job-shop settings. The extended reach design, with a 20 mm reach length, allows access to deeper features without sacrificing rigidity. The 0.2362 inch shank diameter provides a secure grip in standard collets and end mill holders. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, expanding its range of applicable operations including pocket milling and drilling entry passes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for standard CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 0.2362 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for toolholder torque and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked state before changing or seating the end mill. Use the correct collet size to match the 0.2362 inch shank diameter to prevent slippage or runout during operation. Verify tool projection and reach clearance before beginning any cutting cycle.
