The OSG 3056219 is a 2-flute solid carbide ball end mill engineered for high-precision finishing operations in hard materials. With a 1.00 mm mill diameter and a 0.50 mm nose radius, this tool is built for fine detail work in tight geometries. The extended long-neck design features a 14.90 mm neck length and a reduced 0.95 mm neck diameter, giving clearance in deep-cavity and confined-reach applications. DUROREY PVD coating improves wear resistance and thermal stability when cutting high-hardness steels. The 30-degree medium helix angle balances chip evacuation with cutting stability. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals running CNC milling equipment.
This end mill is designed for roughing and finishing in hard materials, with a primary application in high-hardness steels. The extended reach and long-neck geometry make it well suited for mold, die, and complex-contour work where standard-length tools cannot access the cut zone. The 4.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank fits common collet systems used in CNC machining centers. A 0.80 mm length of cut and 45.00 mm overall length define the operational envelope. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use tool in CNC milling setups requiring a 4.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material is hard material (H); secondary workpiece material is steel (P). Part of OSG Series 8590.
Installation and use of this end mill should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC tooling and collet systems. Confirm shank diameter compatibility with the collet or toolholder before mounting. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before tool changes. Do not exceed the manufacturer-rated depth of cut or feed parameters for the target workpiece material and hardness.
