The OSG 300-3937 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in general machining applications. With a 10 mm (0.3937 inch) reamer diameter and a bright, uncoated finish, it delivers tight diameter tolerances of +0.0001 to +0.0005 inches, making it suitable for work requiring close fits and smooth bore finishes. The six-flute, straight-flute geometry provides stable cutting action and good chip evacuation. At 89 mm overall length with a 32 mm flute length, the 300-3937 fits standard drill chucks and collet holders with a straight cylindrical shank. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and tool-room professionals in CNC and manual machining environments.
The OSG 300-3937 is intended for general machining applications where precise bore sizing is required. It is well suited for reaming pre-drilled holes in metals and similar materials in both production and job-shop settings. The straight flute design performs reliably in through-hole and shallow blind-hole applications. The solid carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance compared to high-speed steel alternatives, making it a practical choice for shops running higher spindle speeds or harder workpiece materials.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chucking reamer for general machining use; fits standard straight-shank tool holders and drill chucks accepting a 10 mm shank diameter.
Installation and use of this reamer should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with cutting tool setup and machine operation. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is secure before mounting or removing the reamer. Select appropriate spindle speed and feed rate for the workpiece material per standard machining practice. Inspect the reamer for chipping or wear before each use, as solid carbide tools are brittle and should not be subjected to interrupted cuts or excessive side loading.
