The OSG 300-3770 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in general machining applications. It produces a letter V diameter bore at 0.3770 inches with a tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0005 inches, making it suitable for close-tolerance work where dimensional accuracy is critical. The reamer features a straight flute geometry and a straight cylindrical shank for use in standard drill chucks or collet holders. With an overall length of 3.5 inches and a flute length of 1.25 inches, it is sized for short-reach finishing passes in a range of workholding setups. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and toolroom technicians working in metalcutting environments.
The OSG 300-3770 is intended for general machining applications requiring consistent bore sizing in the 0.3500 to 0.3999 inch diameter range. It is suited for use in manual mills, CNC machining centers, and drill presses where a straight-shank reamer can be held in a chuck or collet. The bright uncoated finish makes it appropriate for a wide range of workpiece materials in standard cutting conditions. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional machine spindle rotation.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chucking reamer for general machining applications requiring a letter V diameter bore; part of the OSG 300D series for standard replacement and production use.
Install in a drill chuck or precision collet holder rated for the 0.3770-inch shank diameter before powering the machine spindle. Ensure the workpiece is securely fixtured and the spindle is fully stopped before loading or removing the reamer. Apply appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain bore finish quality. Follow shop safety procedures and machine manufacturer guidelines for reamer runout and feed rate setup.
