It carries a Letter H designation, corresponding to a reamer diameter of 0.2660 inches, and holds a tight diameter tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0005 inches to deliver accurate, repeatable bore sizing. The straight flute geometry and straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard drill chucks and collet holders. At 3.25 inches overall length with a 1.125-inch flute length, this is a compact, rigid reamer suited for CNC machining centers, manual mills, and drill presses. The bright, uncoated solid carbide construction handles a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials.

Chucking reamers are installed by machinists or toolroom technicians using standard drill chucks or collet systems. Always ream at appropriate cutting speeds and feeds for the workpiece material — running a reamer too fast or without adequate cutting fluid can cause premature wear or bore oversizing. Never use a reamer to remove excessive stock; the hole should be pre-drilled or bored close to finish size before reaming.
