The OSG 300-2520 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in general machining applications. With a 6.4 mm (0.2520 inch) diameter and a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, this reamer delivers consistent, accurate bore sizing in production and job-shop environments. The bright, uncoated solid carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. At 83 mm overall length with a 29 mm flute length, the 300-2520 fits standard drill chucks and collet holders on CNC machining centers, lathes, and drill presses. Licensed machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary installers.
The 300-2520 is suited for through-hole and blind-hole reaming in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where tight bore tolerances and smooth surface finish are required. Its straight cylindrical shank accommodates standard ER collets and keyed drill chucks. The 4-flute straight geometry is well matched to short-chipping materials and general-purpose reaming where coolant-through tooling is not required. This reamer is part of the OSG Series 300D standard carbide reamer line, intended for general machining use across a wide range of industries.
Designed as a standard OEM-style chucking reamer for general machining applications requiring a 6.4 mm finished bore diameter. Fits standard straight-shank toolholders, ER collet systems, and keyed drill chucks accepting the specified shank diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with rotary cutting tool safety. Secure the shank fully within the collet or chuck before operating; do not allow the flutes to contact the holder. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are properly fixtured before engaging the reamer to prevent tool deflection and bore oversize. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for RPM and feed rate selection when using solid carbide tooling.
