The OSG 300-1520 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in general machining applications. It produces a wire size 24 bore at a nominal diameter of 0.1520 inches, with a tolerance range of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches for tight, repeatable sizing. The straight flute geometry and right-hand cutting direction make it well suited for through-hole and blind-hole reaming in a wide range of workpiece materials. With an overall length of 2.5 inches and a flute length of 0.75 inches, this compact tool is handled by machinists and toolroom technicians on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills.
This reamer is intended for general machining environments requiring controlled hole diameter and surface finish. The straight cylindrical shank allows direct mounting in standard precision collets, drill chucks, or shrink-fit toolholders. At 0.1520 inches nominal diameter and a 4-flute configuration, it is commonly applied in production runs where consistent bore geometry is critical. The bright, uncoated finish makes it suitable for use across a broad range of materials without coating-related compatibility concerns. No coolant-through provision is present, so it is used with external or flood coolant as required by the application.
Designed as a standard OEM-style solid carbide chucking reamer for general machining applications requiring wire size 24 hole finishing with a straight cylindrical shank interface.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with reaming operations. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle before mounting or removing the tool from the holder. Secure the straight shank in a precision collet or drill chuck rated for the spindle speed required by the workpiece material and diameter. Apply appropriate external or flood coolant during cutting, as this tool does not have coolant-through capability.
