The OSG 300-0945 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in general machining applications. With a 2.4 mm (0.0945 inch) reamer diameter and a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, this tool delivers consistent, accurate bore sizing in a single pass. The straight flute geometry and right-hand cutting direction make it well suited for through-hole and blind-hole reaming in a wide range of workpiece materials. At 50 mm overall length with a 12 mm flute length, it fits standard drill chucks and collet holders used in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and lathes. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary installers of this tool.
The 300-0945 is intended for general machining environments where tight hole tolerances are required. The bright, uncoated finish and solid carbide construction make it appropriate for reaming ferrous and non-ferrous materials in production and job-shop settings. The straight cylindrical shank seats securely in standard chucks and collet systems, allowing straightforward setup without additional adapters. Four flutes provide a balance of chip clearance and surface finish quality. This reamer is part of the OSG 300D series, positioned for standard carbide reaming tasks across a broad range of industries.
Designed as a standard carbide chucking reamer for general machining applications, compatible with any drill chuck or collet system accepting a straight cylindrical shank in the appropriate diameter range.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with reaming operations. Ensure the machine spindle and workpiece fixture are secured before operation, and confirm the chuck or collet is properly torqued to the tool holder specification. Reamers should be used with appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve surface finish. Never use a reamer to remove excessive stock; pre-drill or bore the hole to within the recommended allowance before reaming.
