The OSG 300-0866 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in general machining applications. With a reamer diameter of 2.2 mm (0.0866 inches) and a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, this tool produces accurate, smooth bores where dimensional control is critical. The 4-flute straight configuration provides stable cutting action in through and blind holes. At 50 mm overall length with a 12 mm flute length and a straight cylindrical shank, it is sized for use in CNC machining centers, manual mills, and drill presses with standard collet or chuck toolholding. This reamer is suited for light-stock-removal finishing passes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials across production and job-shop environments. Installation and use of chucking reamers should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with proper toolholding and speeds and feeds for carbide cutting tools. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are fully powered down and at rest before inserting or removing the reamer. Secure the straight shank firmly in a collet or drill chuck to minimize runout, which directly affects hole tolerance and tool life. Reamers should only be used to remove a small finishing allowance from a pre-drilled or bored hole; using a reamer to remove excess stock will damage the cutting edges.
