The OSG 2933601 is a spiral flute tap designed for cutting 3/4-10 UNC internal threads in a wide range of ferrous materials. It features a 45-degree helix angle that efficiently evacuates chips up and out of the hole, making it well suited for blind-hole tapping where chip packing is a concern. The tap is ground to an H3 thread limit for consistent dimensional control and carries a steam oxide coating that reduces friction and improves lubrication retention during cutting. This tap is intended for use in alloy steel, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, die steel, and hardened steel.
