The OSG 2832001 is a spiral point plug tap designed for threading 7/16-14 UNC holes in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built from vanadium high-speed steel (HSS-E) with a steam oxide coating, it drives chips forward ahead of the cutting edge, making it well suited for through-hole tapping operations. The plug chamfer eases entry and distributes cutting load across the first few threads. Thread limit is H3, providing the tolerance class most commonly specified for standard unified coarse thread fits. Overall length is 3.157 inches with a thread length of 0.858 inches and a shank diameter of 0.323 inches.
