The OSG 2826801 is a spiral point plug tap designed for right-hand threading in a 3/8-24 UNF thread profile. It is manufactured from vanadium high-speed steel (HSS-E) with a steam oxide coating that reduces friction and provides moderate corrosion resistance during cutting operations. The tap features 3 flutes, an H2 thread limit, and a plug chamfer for lead-in on through-hole applications. With an overall length of 2.937 inches and a thread length of 0.74 inches, it is sized for standard tapping chucks and hand tap wrenches.
