The OSG 2632005 is a spiral point tap designed for right-hand threading in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It cuts a 7/16-14 UNC thread to a 2B class of fit and features a plug chamfer for use in through-hole applications. The tap is manufactured from vanadium high-speed steel (HSS-E) and carries a titanium nitride (TiN) coating that extends tool life by reducing friction and heat buildup at the cutting edge. Three flutes push chips forward ahead of the tap, keeping the flutes clear and enabling higher feed rates in production threading. Coolant-through capability supports both flood and high-pressure through-spindle coolant delivery.

This tap is suited for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and tapping machines in job shop, production, and maintenance environments. Installation Notes
