The OSG 2533601 is a spiral point plug tap designed for cutting 3/4-10 UNC right-hand internal threads in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. Built from Vanadium High Speed Steel (HSS-E) with a steam oxide coating, this tap offers improved lubricity and corrosion resistance during threading operations. The plug chamfer distributes cutting load across the first few threads, making it well suited for through-hole tapping. With a 3-flute geometry and spiral point design, chips are pushed forward ahead of the cutting edge rather than packing in the flute, reducing the risk of tap breakage in production environments. Overall length is 4.921 inches with a thread length of 1.21 inches.
