The OSG 2211401 is a spiral flute tap designed for cutting 4-40 UNC internal threads in a wide range of ferrous materials. The modified bottoming chamfer allows threading close to the bottom of a hole. Manufactured from vanadium high-speed steel and finished with a steam oxide coating, the 2211401 offers enhanced wear resistance and lubricity under typical shop and field machining conditions.
