The OSG 220-2810 is a jobber length drill bit designed for precision drilling in metal, composites, and other hard materials. Built from solid carbide, it delivers superior hardness and wear resistance compared to high-speed steel alternatives. The bit features a 118-degree standard point angle that centers quickly and produces clean entry holes. With an overall length of 3.5 inches and a flute length of 2.125 inches, it fits standard drill chucks and CNC machining centers. A bright, uncoated finish makes it well suited for applications where coating buildup or contamination is a concern. This bit is installed and used by machinists, tool and die makers, and maintenance technicians.
This drill bit is sized at 9/32 inch (0.2812 inches decimal, letter size K) and falls within the 0.2500 to 0.3000 inch drill bit size range. It is appropriate for jobber-length drilling operations in general machining, production environments, and precision maintenance work. The straight-cylindrical shank accommodates standard three-jaw chucks and collet holders. Right-hand spiral flutes with a slow spiral type provide controlled chip evacuation, making this bit a practical choice for drilling in materials that produce long, stringy chips.
Designed as an OEM-style jobber length drill bit for use in standard three-jaw chucks, collet holders, and CNC spindles accepting a 9/32 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with rotary cutting tools. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before loading or removing the bit from a chuck or collet. Verify chuck or collet runout is within acceptable tolerances before use, as excessive runout will accelerate carbide wear and increase the risk of bit breakage. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines when selecting feed rates and spindle speeds for carbide tooling.
