The OSG 220-1130 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-precision drilling in metalworking and machining applications. It carries a No. 33 wire gauge size, equivalent to 0.1130 decimal inch (2.87 mm) in diameter, with a 118-degree point angle suited for general-purpose drilling. The bright/uncoated finish maintains dimensional accuracy and suits use in a wide range of base and ferrous materials. The 2-flute spiral flute geometry with a web-thinned, tapered web configuration promotes chip evacuation and reduces entry force. This bit is part of the OSG Series 220D and is installed by machinists, tool-and-die tradespeople, and CNC machine operators.
This drill bit is intended for use in blind hole, cross hole, through-hole, and self-centering drilling operations. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, aluminum alloy, and aluminum silicate. It is well-suited for use in manual drill presses, CNC machining centers, and automated drilling fixtures where close-tolerance hole sizing is required. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet holders without modification.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or production drill bit for machining operations on steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, aluminum alloy, and aluminum silicate workpieces. Straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet systems sized to 2.87 mm shank diameter.
This drill bit is installed by machinists and CNC operators. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully in a matched chuck or collet before operation and verify runout before drilling to tolerance-critical holes. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit; apply cutting fluid externally as required by the workpiece material and shop practice. Replace the bit when cutting edge wear causes oversized holes or elevated thrust force.
