The OSG 20431400 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/4-inch cutting diameter with a 0.06-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding roughing operations. The 3-flute, right-hand helical geometry with a high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, while the extended reach configuration — with a 2-inch reach length and 3/4-inch LOC — provides access to deeper features. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working with aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous materials will find this tool well suited to aggressive slotting and profiling passes.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with a compatible toolholder. Its primary application is roughing and profiling of non-ferrous metals where chip load and material removal rate are priorities. The straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance ensures consistent, repeatable runout when seated in standard collet or end mill holders. The single-end, center-cutting configuration allows plunge entry as well as conventional side-milling operations.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders accepting a 3/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primarily suited for machining non-ferrous metals including aluminum and copper alloys. Not intended for hardened steels or ferrous workpiece materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Seat the shank to the full recommended gauge depth in the collet or toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, as excessive runout will accelerate wear and degrade corner radius geometry.
