The OSG 20431300 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built to Series 2043 specifications, it features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter with a 3/4 inch length of cut and a 45-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The three-flute configuration balances chip clearance with cutting rigidity, making it well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry follow standard CNC and manual milling conventions. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and toolroom professionals working with vertical or horizontal milling machines and machining centers.
This end mill is appropriate for use in general-purpose and production milling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals where an uncoated solid carbide tool is the specified choice. The 4 inch overall length and 2 inch reach length provide extended reach capability for accessing deeper pockets or stepped features without requiring a long-reach adapter. The 3/4 inch shank diameter is compatible with standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic chucks sized for 3/4 inch tooling. A neck diameter of 0.7460 inches supports clearance in extended-reach applications.
Designed as a standard 3/4 inch shank square end mill compatible with ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholding systems sized for 3/4 inch shank tooling on CNC machining centers and conventional vertical milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for toolholder torque and runout specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before installing or removing the end mill. Verify holder bore cleanliness and tool projection length prior to tightening to minimize runout. Do not exceed the manufacturer recommended feeds and speeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
