The OSG 20213700 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.4063 inch (13/32 inch) cutting diameter and a 0.5625 inch length of cut, this stub-length tool delivers rigid, accurate cuts in tight-clearance setups. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Manufactured from micrograin carbide, it offers superior hardness and wear resistance compared to high-speed steel tooling. This is a single-end, center-cutting design with a right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute. It is sold individually and suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills.
The OSG 20213700 is intended for use in general-purpose milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a compact stub-length profile is preferred for added rigidity. The 0.4375 inch (7/16 inch) shank fits standard ER and milling collets as well as end mill holders commonly found in production shops and tool rooms. Its bright, uncoated finish makes it appropriate for a range of base materials where coating-related chemical reactions are a concern, including aluminum and some stainless applications. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments are the primary users of this tool.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for standard 7/16 inch shank end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and milling collets used in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
End mills of this type are installed by licensed machinists or CNC operators using appropriate toolholders torqued to the holder manufacturer's specification. Always ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Inspect the collet or holder for runout before use, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide tools. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the material being machined.
