The OSG 20210600 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precise milling of non-ferrous metals. It features a 0.1563-inch cutting diameter with a 0.02-inch corner radius, producing a controlled edge break that reduces chipping and extends tool life compared to sharp-corner geometry. The 2-flute, right-hand helical design promotes chip evacuation in softer materials such as aluminum, brass, and copper. With an overall length of 2 inches and a stub-length cut of 0.5 inches, this single-end mill is well suited for short-reach finishing and light roughing passes where rigidity is a priority. It is installed and run by machinists and CNC operators working on precision component work.
This end mill is built for machining non-ferrous metals in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The stub length-of-cut configuration minimizes deflection during aggressive passes in aluminum and other soft alloys. The 30-degree medium helix angle balances cutting forces and chip flow for this material class. A straight cylindrical shank measuring 0.1875 inches in diameter fits standard collet toolholders, making it a straightforward drop-in for most ER and DA collet systems used in production and job-shop environments.
Designed for use with standard collet toolholders accepting a 0.1875-inch straight cylindrical shank. Intended primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC operators. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool from the collet holder. Seat the shank to the recommended insertion depth for the collet series in use and torque the collet nut per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excess runout will accelerate wear on a small-diameter carbide tool.
