The OSG 20150211 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, a 3/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the tool-workpiece interface and extends tool life in slot milling, profiling, and finishing passes. The 4-flute geometry and 40-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and a smooth surface finish. A TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures. Overall length is 2-1/2 inches with a 1/4 inch shank diameter. Intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC mills and machining centers.
This end mill suits general-purpose milling applications in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments. The corner radius geometry is particularly well suited to finishing operations where sharp inside corners would cause stress risers or where a controlled radius is called out on the part drawing. Right-hand cut, right-hand flute direction, and centercutting capability allow plunge entry as well as conventional and climb milling. The regular-length body keeps deflection low during side milling at moderate depths. Typical materials include alloy steels, stainless steels, and hardened materials where TiAlN coating performance is beneficial.
Part of OSG Series 2015. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for 1/4 inch shank, 4-flute corner radius end mills in regular-length configurations used on standard CNC milling machines and machining centers.
Installation is performed by machinists using a compatible collet or end mill holder sized for a 1/4 inch shank. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of chips before seating the end mill. Set tool length offset in the CNC control before cutting. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and cutting tool supplier feed-and-speed recommendations for the workpiece material being machined.
