The OSG 2003300 is a spiral point tap designed for threading 5-40 UNC holes in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 2-flute, plug chamfer design that pushes chips ahead of the tap during through-hole operations, reducing chip packing and extending tool life. Built from high-speed steel with a bright finish, this tap measures 1.938 inches in overall length with a 0.323-inch thread length and a 0.141-inch shank diameter. The H5 thread limit provides controlled oversize tolerance suitable for standard tapping applications. Installation is performed by machinists and trade professionals using standard tapping machines, CNC equipment, or hand tap handles.

This tap is suited for through-hole tapping operations in production and maintenance environments. It is commonly used in applications involving aluminum, cast aluminum, cast iron, low-carbon steel, medium-carbon steel, high-carbon steel, and hardened steel.
