The OSG 200-1250 is a straight-flute die drill bit designed for precision drilling in die and mold work as well as other tight-tolerance machining applications. Built from solid carbide with a bright finish, this bit delivers consistent hole quality and extended tool life compared to high-speed steel alternatives. It measures 1/8 inch (0.1250 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 1-7/8 inches and a flute length of 7/8 inches. The 140-degree drill point angle promotes accurate entry and reduces walking on flat and curved surfaces. Cutting direction is right hand with a standard point geometry. This tool is installed and operated by machinists, tool and die makers, and precision metalworking shops.
The OSG 200-1250 is suited for use in die and mold applications, precision jig boring, and close-tolerance drilling operations where hole position and finish quality are critical. Its compact overall length and 1/8-inch shank make it compatible with standard drill chucks, collets, and quick-change tooling systems used on machining centers, CNC mills, drill presses, and hand-held pneumatic or electric drills. The bright finish is appropriate for general-purpose use across a range of workpiece materials. This drill is sold individually as a single-piece unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for straight-flute die drill bits in the 1/8-inch diameter class within the OSG Series 200 product line.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the power source is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet or chuck and torque the retention mechanism according to the machine manufacturer's specifications. Do not exceed the recommended speed and feed parameters for solid carbide tooling in the given workpiece material, as carbide is brittle and susceptible to breakage under shock loading or excessive lateral force.
