The OSG 1981305 is a spiral point tap designed for threading M8x1.25 metric coarse holes in production and maintenance machining environments. Constructed from high-speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers improved wear resistance and extended tool life compared to uncoated HSS taps. The 2-flute spiral point geometry pushes chips forward ahead of the cutting edge, reducing chip packing in through-hole applications.
