The OSG 1764701 is a spiral point plug extension tap designed for threading 10-32 UNF holes in a range of ferrous materials. The spiral point geometry pushes chips ahead of the tap rather than backing them into the flute, making it well suited for through-hole applications. With an overall length of 4 inches and a reduced shank design, it reaches into recessed or deep-set bosses where a standard-length tap would not fit. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance technicians install this tap using a standard tap wrench or CNC tapping head.
