The OSG 1760008 is a spiral point plug tap designed for threading 8-32 UNC right-hand threads in demanding materials. Built from powdered metal and finished with a TiCN coating, this tap handles hardened steel, stainless steel, high-nickel alloys, titanium, alloy steel, and die steel. The spiral point geometry pushes chips forward ahead of the tap, making it well suited for through-hole applications where chip evacuation matters. With a thread limit of H5 and an overall length of 2.126 inches, it fits standard tap holders used in machine tapping operations. Sold individually.
