The OSG 1758008 is a spiral point tap designed for threading 3/8-16 UNC right-hand threads in demanding materials. Built from powdered metal and coated with TiCN (titanium carbonitride), this plug-chamfer tap handles hardened steel, stainless steel, high-nickel alloys, titanium, alloy steel, and die steel. It features 3 flutes with a Class 3B thread fit and an H3 thread limit, making it well suited for precision threading applications where tight tolerances and tool wear resistance are priorities.
