The OSG 1681100 is a straight flute tap designed for cutting 9/16-24 UNEF right-hand internal threads in a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright/uncoated finish, it features a plug chamfer for general through-hole and blind-hole tapping applications. The tap has 4 flutes, an overall length of 3-19/32 inches, and a thread length of 1-21/32 inches. The H3 thread limit provides controlled oversize tolerance suitable for most standard tapping operations. Licensed machinists and maintenance technicians are the typical installers of this tooling.
